Unfortunately the MJPFL Representative U16's Vs Bristol Rovers U16's fixture planned for Nov 25th at Stratford Town has had to be postponed due to a water logged pitch. Efforts to seek an alternative venue have not been successful and the league would like to thank Stratford Town for their help and we look forward to confirming a new date in the near future.

Rothwell Town building on success

Following on from the success of last season, which saw 9 Rothwell players sign professional contracts with Peterborough United, MK Dons, Northampton Town and Luton Town, this season is starting to look even more promising for Rothwell players.

Although the current season is still in its early days Rothwell has been swamped with interest from professional clubs. With 13 players currently creating approaches from and gaining trials and/or contracts with Derby County, Aston Villa, Ipswich Town, Peterborough United and Northampton Town.

Rather than just results, Rothwell Town FC Youth Development Centre is fully focussed on player development. RTYDC currently has teams ranging from U9 to U18s.

If you have the potential to progress and play at a higher standard, if you are ambitious, dedicated, hard working and have the right attitude, please phone us on 07810 138371 or email us at youthdevelopment@rothwelltownfc.com and leave your contact details.

MJPFL Representative Football

Announcing The MJPFL Representative Football Program 2009/2010

During the last two or three seasons we have been busy behind the scenes establishing close links with some of this countries top football clubs, these include Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City, Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and Bristol Rovers to name just a few. As a result of this growing relationship we had planned to announce the formation of the MJPFL representative team at the end of this month with a view to games commencing early 2010.
The clubs listed above have all agreed to host representative games between their academy teams and the MJPFL representative teams, These games will take place midweek from January to March of the football season and the opportunities will exist for all MJPFL age groups.

Great Early Opportunity:
However activities have overtaken us and an immediate opportunity and invitation has been received from  and prior to the intended announcement later this month Birmingham County FA U16 manager Tony Williams has asked the Midland Junior Premier Football League if a U16 representative team could be organised for a game next week, on 11th November and Bristol Rovers Academy Director Stewart Naughton has confirmed an U16 fixture to be organised for Wednesday November 25th.

The Match Report now includes available match photos which have been provided by either team. We only have a few matches covered by photos at the moment but we would like more sent to us as its fantastic to see the players in action.

Saturday was a rare day for me as my Son wasn't playing football so I had the chance to get along with my camera to two games in the Worcester area namely the Inkberrow u13 Vs Burton Albion u13 National League Game & Worcester City u15 Vs Romulus u15 National League Game . I have to say I really enjoyed watching the games and they were closer than the scores suggested.
