Announcing The MJPFL Representative Football Program 2009/2010
During the last two or three seasons we have been busy behind the scenes establishing close links with some of this countries top football clubs, these include Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City, Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and Bristol Rovers to name just a few. As a result of this growing relationship we had planned to announce the formation of the MJPFL representative team at the end of this month with a view to games commencing early 2010.
The clubs listed above have all agreed to host representative games between their academy teams and the MJPFL representative teams, These games will take place midweek from January to March of the football season and the opportunities will exist for all MJPFL age groups.
Great Early Opportunity:
However activities have overtaken us and an immediate opportunity and invitation has been received from and prior to the intended announcement later this month Birmingham County FA U16 manager Tony Williams has asked the Midland Junior Premier Football League if a U16 representative team could be organised for a game next week, on 11th November and Bristol Rovers Academy Director Stewart Naughton has confirmed an U16 fixture to be organised for Wednesday November 25th.
