Bright future ahead for Nuneaton Town players

Nuneaton Town's Pa Sulamiman and Sam Norman have been awarded with Nuneaton Town senior team contracts and PA has been called up to his national U19 team.

Pa Sulamiman, from Nuneaton Town’s Youth team that plays in the MJPFL has been selected by the Gambian FA to play in their under 19’s International team. Gambia are the current Africa U19’s champions and Pa, who plays for Nuneaton, has been playing for the club whilst on work experience. Coached and mentored by club coach Dave Watkins, himself a former semi pro player for AP Leamington has been training Pa for over a year. Pa now trains with the Nuneaton Town First Team taking part in coaching session by former Republic of Ireland International’s Kenny Cunningham and Ken Gillard, overseen by Manager Kevin Wilkin.

Pa will become the ninth player who has played for the club’s MJPFL teams to win a contract with Nuneaton Town and is joined this season by 15-year-old Sam Norman who plays in the Boro’s under 15’s MJPL side in signing first team terms with the club.

The Boro are on course to return to the Football Conference and hopefully Sulamiman and Norman will play a part in that.

Nuneaton has a track record of signing players from their junior MJPFL sides and there is currently six former MJPFL players who turn out every week for the first team.
