Selection & Standards:
To be selected for a Representative Team you must have been recommended by your team manager or opposition team managers. Normally you will require more than one vote to be included. For each game the recommendations gained previously will be reviewed and new ones sought.
The Rep Team will not be changed in its entirety for each game.
The aim of the Rep Team is to give players and coaches’ exposure to professional academy football and this is why selection will always be tough – we want to recognise the best players within our league.
Rep Team rules:
If you play up an age group for your club you can be recommended and selected for either representative team age group. Each Rep Team will always have a minimum of 16 players selected. Each player will play at least 50% of each game selected for.
The code of conduct of the league will be rigorously enforced at every game.
Format:
In 2011-12, the Rep Team at various age groups has already played 4 professional clubs with 2 more to play before the end of February.
These clubs are Reading FC, Cardiff City, Bristol Rovers, West Bromwich Albion, Arsenal and Birmingham City. In 2012-13 season a calendar of games will be arranged.
